Qimena ("we", "the Site", qimena.com) respects and protects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and safeguard it, and the rights you have. By using the Site you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Account data: username, email, and password (stored encrypted — we never see the plaintext).
• Chart inputs: the name/alias, gender, birth date and hour, birth longitude, and focus topic you enter, used to cast and interpret your Qi Men Dun Jia chart.
• Usage data: an anonymous session identifier and feature events (open, cast, ask), used to improve the product and not identifying you personally.
• Push subscriptions: if you enable daily reminders, we store your browser push endpoint, language preference, and time zone.
• Local storage: we use browser localStorage for login state and preferences. We use no third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

2. How We Use It

We use information only to: provide charting and AI interpretation, maintain your account and subscription, send reminders you opt into, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Third-Party Processors

• Cloudflare: site hosting, database (D1), and content delivery.
• AI providers: your questions and chart summaries are sent to large-language-model services (e.g. Google Gemini, OpenRouter, Cloudflare Workers AI) to generate interpretations. Please do not enter sensitive personal information in the chat.
• Payments (if applicable): subscription payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details.

4. Data Storage & Retention

Data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. We retain data for the life of your account; after you close it, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period.

5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email the address below and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. California residents may request the categories of information we collect and ask for deletion; we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
