About Qimena
Qimena (qimena.com) is a Qi Men Dun Jia and BaZi tool built mainly for people abroad: whether you are in New York, London or Sydney, charts use your local True Solar Time, time zone and daylight saving automatically.
What we calculate
Charts are calculated by fixed rules, not generated by AI: the same moment and longitude always give the same chart. We use the hour-based method (Chai Bu to set the ju, the rotating plate to lay it out), solar terms from the sun's ecliptic longitude, and a 23:00 day change. All rules are published on How Qimena casts a chart.
How we check it
Solar-term times are compared with the Hong Kong Observatory's 72 terms (about 5 minutes apart on average); day pillars are checked with an independent algorithm over 73,414 days in five time zones with zero differences; whole charts were compared with a third-party charting site at 52 moments: 47 matched exactly and the cause of each of the other 5 differences was found. Errors found along the way (such as a deity misplacement) were fixed and logged on the rules page.
Where scores come from
Each palace gains or loses points for seasonal strength, its door, star and deity, voids, Punish and Pressed marks; today's score centers on the focus palace for your question. The rules and a year's distribution are on How Qimena scores a chart.
What the AI does and does not do
The AI only explains the calculated chart in plain language and relates it to your question; it receives the chart data and the rules and never changes the chart. Readings are for reference only and are not medical, legal, financial or investment advice. For big decisions, weigh your real situation and consult a professional.
Your data
We collect only what the service needs, never sell data, and use no third-party ad tracking. You can delete your account yourself at any time under Settings → Delete account. See the privacy policy.

Charts, the board, the wiki, the calculator pages and Today's sign are free. Signing up gives a 30-day full trial, no card needed. After that you can subscribe to Pro ($15.99/month or $159.9/year) or buy the 30-day date plan once ($4.99). Subscriptions can be canceled anytime under Manage subscription.
