How Qimena Scores a Chart: Palace Scores, Today's Score and the Color Tints

Qimena’s scores are not random and not guessed by the AI. They are calculated from the chart by fixed rules, so the same moment and longitude always give the same score. Here are all the rules.
1. Each palace’s score
Each outer palace (not the center) starts at 60, gains or loses points as below, and is then held between 10 and 100.

2. Today’s score
Every chart contains each door, star and deity exactly once, so the average of the eight palaces barely moves (it used to stay between 58 and 61). To make the score reflect whether the moment suits what you are asking about, today’s score centers on the focus palace:
- Career: the score of the Open Gate’s palace
- Wealth: the average of the Life Gate’s palace and the palace of Heaven-plate Wu
- Love: the score of the Harmony deity’s palace
- General: 60% from the best of Open Gate, wealth and Rest Gate, 40% from the average of the four
Today’s score = focus palace × 0.7 + eight-palace average × 0.3 + pattern adjustment, held between 20 and 96.
Pattern adjustments (at most −14 or +10 in total):

3. How scores spread over a year
We checked a year of charts from October 2026, four per day:

So 70 is already above average, and 80 or more is an uncommonly good moment.
4. Tints, favorable directions and personalization
- Board tints: palaces scoring 75 or more are green, 60 to 74 gold, 45 or less red.
- Favorable directions: palaces scoring 75 or more, from highest to lowest. If none reaches 75, there is “no clear favorable direction” that hour.
- Your relation to today: the five-element relation between today’s day stem and your Day Master (same element, supported, drained, pressured, you overcome). The daily scores in the weekly and monthly views add or subtract a few points for it, and Golden Hours counts it too.
5. What the score does not do
- It does not promise outcomes. It puts traditional rules into numbers so you can compare times and directions; it is not a prophecy.
- Entering the tomb is not counted yet, because schools disagree on it.

FAQ
Why does the score differ by topic on the same day?
Because 70% of today's score comes from the focus palace: the Open Gate's palace for career, the Life Gate's and Heaven Wu's for wealth, Harmony's for love. Those land in different palaces, so the scores differ.
Does a high score guarantee a good outcome?
No. The score is a reference that puts the chart's rules into numbers. It shows where the chart flows and where it is blocked; what you do still depends on your real situation.
What do the green, gold and red tints on the board mean?
A palace scoring 75 or more is green, 60 to 74 gold, and 45 or less red; the rest are untinted. Palaces at 75 or more are also that hour's favorable directions.
